A group of 5 Year 7 Mount Carmel pupils joined with 10 primary school teams for a Chaplaincy workshop held during Holy Week at St. Mary’s R.C. Primary school in Clayton-le-Moors.
The pupils were asked to create a jigsaw piece, Mount Carmel’s piece represented the Blood of Christ. All the pieces were then combined together and displayed on a large wooden cross. The afternoon also included a prize quiz hosted by the Knights of St. Columba.
A worksheet thanking God for all the good things in life became part of a liturgy to end the afternoon.
Thank you to St. Mary’s headteacher Mr Mashiter and R.E. cordinator Mrs Hinds for their organisation of this workshop.
