Mount Carmel's newly formed American Football team had a joint training session with Burnley Tornados over the weekend followed by friendly game.
The Tornados are one of the best teams in the country at their age level, they reached the national final last year!
The Mount Carmel team played a very respectable game in what was their first ever game, losing by only one score! This looks like it could be a very promising start for our team.
The coaches were incredibly complimentary of the quality and potential of a lot of our players with particular credit going to Will B. who had two huge touchdowns.
The National Championships take place at Spurs later in the year and is definitely a target for our team to aim for.
