A group of six Mount Carmel pupils participated in an inter-school design technology competition for National Apprenticeship Week at North Lancs Training Group in Accrington.
Two of the team were tasked with making a Harry Potter themed feast, of which the centrepiece had to be a Sorting Hat cake.
Two other pupils then had to make a Quidditch pitch cake stand for the cake and the remaining two were asked to look at the promotion and marketing of the event on social media.
The team were up against two other schools on the day and the Mount Carmel team won their heat in all three categories.
