The Crazy for Science inter-primary quiz took place hosted by Mount Carmel science department.

Thirteen teams of 4 pupils from seven schools competed with approx 80 family and primary staff coming along to support them. The quiz consisted of general knowledge science questions covering a range of topics and a practical round where the teams were challenged to design a parachute which was then tested to see which one travelled the furthest and was most accurate at reaching the target.

Mount Carmel pupils assisted and were great ambassadors for the school during the course of the evening and the PTFA served refreshments to the visitors. A parents quiz and raffle also took place.

The Crazy for Science winners for 2020 were Hippings Methodist primary Team A who were the reigning champions with a team from St. Peter’s coming in second place and Team B from Hippings coming in third place.

Thank you to all teams who participated.
