Year 8 pupils have been involved in a workshop delivered by Yasmin and Leighanne from HARV (Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Domestic Violence Team), and looked at the topic of 'Gender Stereotypes'.
Pupils looked at typical gender stereotypes attached to Males and Females, as well as looking at what it means to be non-binary and gender non-conforming.
The pupils were engaged throughout and came up with some really good ideas. It provided a useful forum to challenge stereotypes and address any misconceptions around gender norms. Throughout the sessions, pupils were respectful, and provided some thought provoking ideas.
