Mount Carmel held a Culture Day in October raising money for charity by celebrating our cultural traditions with each other!

A 50p donation enabled pupils to take part in a quiz at lunch time to test their knowledge on world foods and flag’s, capital cities and much more in order to win a prize.

All money raised was donated to the Pakistan Floods Appeal in order to help those who have lost homes and lives due to the horrific consequences of mother nature.

The international day for the eradication of poverty presents an opportunity to acknowledge the effort and struggle of people living in poverty and a chance for them to make their concerns heard.

Religious Education teacher Mrs Dawson organised the event along with Year 11 pupils Laiba and Meerab (Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl).
