Mount Carmel pupils have been working towards Arts Awards qualifications with Gayle Knight who has been leading weekly sessions with them.
 
As part of their Arts Award the group had to run the event on their own, they organised an evening of music inspired by Sir Harrison Birtwistle recently which was hosted at the school. They greeted the performers as they arrived, showed them round, introduced them to the tech team, researched them to be able to introduce them on stage, spoke confidently on stage, coped with last minute changes and made strong decisions.

Some pupils will achieve their Gold Awards which is the equivalent of Grade B at A Level, others who are at the Silver level will get the equivalent of Grade 7 at GCSE and another group have just been awarded with their Bronze Awards.
