Our school librarians have provided this lovely poem to acknowledge National Poetry Day and encouraged pupils to read poems when they visit the library.

Poetry was also incorporated into lessons throughout the day.

Words can dance and words can sing,

They help our thoughts and feelings spring.

A poem can whisper, laugh, or play,

Bringing magic to each day.

From books and pens to voices loud,

Poetry joins every crowd.

Sharing stories, dreams, and light,

Through every verse we shine more bright.
