Pupils in Year 8 were off timetable for their RSE drop down day. The pupils were involved in two sessions. In the first session, pupils watched a short film titled “The Trouble with Max” and were thinking about who is most likely to tell us the truth and learned the key message of the short film was to “always believe in themselves” and to “never change who they are for anyone”.

The second session incorporated elements of discussion, group work and creativity. Pupils looked at the impact of social media on our wellbeing, and then looked at how we can tackle Gender Stereotypes within society and our school community.

Pupils provided very thoughtful insights into whether Gender is still binary and what stereotypes and attitudes are outdated in the modern day.

Overall, Year 8 had a very mature attitude to the day and were very well behaved and respectful throughout the day.

Thank you to Mr Khan for arranging and leading the day's activities.
