Mount Carmel's Racing Pigeons were featured on BBC's The One Show in July 2022. 

One of the show's presenters, Richie Anderson came to our school along with a film team to record the article. He spoke to Mr Blair who is the school's ECO co-ordinator and pupils about their new extra curricular activity and showed them at the Oswaldtwistle Homing Pigeon Club preparing the birds for their first race.

The following morning the film crew returned to school to await the pigeons return from the race.
