A flagpole was installed at the front of school and the Coronation flag will be flown over the Bank Holiday weekend to mark the historic occasion.

Pupils were invited to enter a competition to design a commemorative flag which reflects both the historical event and the modern inclusive country of the UK. The winning design will be printed on a flag and flown on the flagpole.

Coronation assemblies explaining the significance of the Coronation took place for all year groups throughout the week.

A photobooth was hired with a royal backdrop and props for pupils to enjoy in groups or individually. Free prints were given to them all.

A royal trivia quiz on the history of the British monarchy ran during the week.

Our kitchen staff made celebration cupcakes and a large decorated and very delicious Victoria sponge cake which was served during lunchtime.

A tree planting ceremony in the ECO garden will take place in the week after the Coronation with a time capsule being buried.
