A group of Mount Carmel Year 7 pupils planted an apple tree in our growing orchard along with our ECO co-ordinator Mr Blair.
Last academic year all year groups planted a tree and we intend to plant a new tree every spring for the new year 7 cohort.
The Mount Carmel orchard now includes 7 apple trees with 4 varieties.
Next year we will look to introduce other varieties of fruit such as plums, pears etc.
