This year Mount Carmel have started an American Football team, the Mount Carmel Saints, following the announcement that Flag Football is going to be joining the Olympics in 2028.
We are currently the only school locally that runs flag football, and have been invited to take part in regional competitions in Manchester with a view to hopefully take a run at National Championships in London this summer in two age groups - under-13 mixed, and under-15 girls.
Our girls' team have also been invited to take part in the schools league that exists outside London, in partnership with the NFL's Chicago Bears which is an absolutely incredible opportunity.
