The Excited for English inter-primary quiz took place hosted by Mount Carmel English department.
Twelve teams of 4 pupils from six schools competed with approx 70 family and primary staff coming along to support them.
The quiz consisted of a scrabble round, a book quiz and then a scavenger hunt in the dining room. A spelling bee challenge with one pupil representing each team on the stage was the final exciting concluding round.
Mount Carmel pupils assisted and were great ambassadors for the school during the course of the evening and Mount Carmel PTFA served refreshments to the visitors. An online parents quiz and a raffle also took place.
The Excited for English winners for 2024 were Hippings Primary and they were presented with the prestigious trophy, certificates, and a lovely poetry book prize for their school.
St. Oswald's came in second place and St. Andrew's came in third place. They both received poetry books for their school along with certificates and chocolates.
Thank you to all the teams who participated, they all received Mount Carmel English Superstar certificates.
