Today our school community gathered for a peaceful and prayerful Celebration of the Word as we began our Advent journey. Together we reflected on the hope and light that Christ brings to the world and to each of our lives.
Our choir helped to lift our prayer with two beautiful performances. The first invited us to think about the light of Christ breaking into the darkness. The second centred on Mary’s Fiat, her wholehearted yes to God, and reminded us of the courage and trust at the heart of the Christmas story.
Thank you to all pupils and staff who took part with such reverence and care. May this season of Advent help us to slow down, listen deeply and prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord.
