Dear parents,

To help us make sure that when you need it, we are able to be efficient and helpful we would like you to support us in the following ways;

Appointments - there is no need to give us advance notice of appointments, please let us know on the day. Please avoid picking up your child for appointments between break time which is 11:05 to 11:25am and lunch time which is 13:25 to 13:55pm. During those times children can be in many different places around the school so consequently finding them can be time-consuming and may result in them being late for appointments. If you anticipate requiring your child during these times, please pick them up just before.

Forgotten items - Please drop off any items your child has forgotten to bring to school at the reception office and do so at least an hour before your child will need them. This will give us time to get them to your child before the relevant lesson such as PE or lunchtime.

Contacting the pastoral leaders - There are 2 members of pastoral staff for each year group available to help the pupils, however if you need to contact your pastoral leader then please make a phone call and leave a message.
Please note the pastoral team are not available on Tuesday between 8am and 8:45am, as this is when they have their weekly pastoral meetings.

Meetings by appointment - any meetings with staff are by appointment only. To avoid your time being wasted, please plan in advance and call to book a meeting.

Holidays and leave of absence - Any leave of absence request such as for a holiday, should be notified in advance via the leave of absence form.

Detentions  - parents will receive a message letting them know that their child is in detention. Please do not call school to check if your child has arrived at detention. Pupils who do not attend their detention are issued a follow up detention, which is our way of letting you know that they have not attended.

Contacting school via email - when you email, we will endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours. Staff are not always at their desks due to teaching commitments, or because they are offering pastoral care and support. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

Thank you
